I am so blessed that Sool Tong is a very short walk away from my work (3 minutes, maybe?). And their staff is efficient and quick when you need to head back to the office or if you have time to dine in. Today, we had time to dine in.
I had my weekly catch-up with Taro today and she opted for something different from what she usually gets here.
Taro loved it. Marinated tuna pieces mixed in with seaweed salad on top with fresh avocado on top of rice with fresh handmade pickles. I didn’t try any, but there was nothing left on her plate by the time we left. I went to my go-to dish.
I usually mix this dish up with either Soba or Rice depending on how I feel. There’s a lot of elements here that’s constantly contrasting each other in a really good way. Crunchy pickled pickles, radish and seaweed salad with crushed roasted almonds along with grilled teriyaki chicken on a bed of chewy Soba drizzled with sesame dressing. The result is an explosion of flavors and I find myself coming back at least once a month or sometimes more. I would also recommend the Curry Udon too if you’re a Japanese curry fan.
